KALLER Achieves Milestone in Sustainable Manufacturing with RISE-Validated Climate Declaration

At KALLER, we are excited to share a proud milestone in our commitment to sustainability and transparency. Over the past 18 months, we have actively participated in the “Competitive Sustainability” project, led by FKG (Fordonskomponentgruppen) and RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden). This initiative brought together companies across Sweden with a shared goal: to create a standardized method for calculating impact on the climate.

We are honored to announce that KALLER is the first company in Sweden and Europe to receive approval to use this newly developed model to calculate CO2 emissions per product, achieving a climate declaration validated by RISE. This accomplishment underscores our dedication to environmental responsibility and innovation in the automotive supply chain.

Understanding the New Climate Declaration

The climate declaration we have adopted is based on a simplified lifecycle analysis (LCA) approach. This method allows us to measure and report the climate impact of each gas spring we manufacture, from raw material extraction through production, distribution, and disposal. It provides a clear and standardized framework for suppliers in the automotive industry to disclose the environmental footprint of their components and products.

By utilizing data specifics to our products and processes, this model offers valuable insights into the greenhouse gas emissions associated with each product. This transparency not only supports our customers in making informed purchasing decisions but also drives us toward continuous improvement in reducing our environmental impact.
